Most official visitor moorings on the Llangollen Canal are limited to 48 hours, we managed to get in front of the official mooring where we could if we wished to stay for 14 days. The mooring was quiet and peaceful despite the number of dog walkers. The village of Chirk with lots of independent shops, restaurants and bars is less than a half-hour walk away and a pleasant pub is just five minutes away.
The mooring is on pins. The ground is soft so care is needed when setting the pins.
