We got a pleasant mooring a just off the Lower Heywood water point. As we went south we fancied a meal in the local pub but it was a long rough walk from that mooring we had then. Our mooring on this occation was an easy 10 minute walk. The meal was worth every step and more and is detailed in the main blog.
The mooring was busy and just yards from the Great Western Railway. We didn’t find it a problem but many would be driven bonkers by the seemingly constant trains rushing past.
