Before Nantwich Viaduct

The canal is built on an embankment some 20 feet (6 m) above the town and although there was a little noise during the day (we were moored within hearing of a school) it was calm and peaceful at night. Despite it’s proximity to the town the moorings felt safe and secure. The town centre is very close by where there is a wide range of shops both chain and independent. A launderette is situated in the Nantwich Canal Centre close to where the C&RT Service point is situated.

Nantwich is a very pleasant town and should properly, not in the fashion we did. We will return.

The mooring was on rings with a tarmac towpath.
