The moorings between locks 5 and 6 on the Atherstone flight of 11 locks is always very busy so we didn’t expect to be able to moor and I was, in fact walking to set up lock 6 when I spied a short mooring that I though we would with luck get into. This we managed with a couple of feet each end.
The mooring although reasonably quite cannot by any stretch be called rural and peaceful but for a few nights with access to lots of shops,pubs and restaurants.
We would recommend, as we would the Kings Head where we had dinner.
The mooring was on Armco.
