This is a mooring much in demand during the glory days of Thr Old Trooper, a Harvester public house and restaurant when it had a reputation for both food and service.
The mooring was busy during the day with dog walkers, joggers and twice a day dozens and dozens of youngsters from Christleton High School pass by on their way to and from their school.
Being at the junction of one very and one quite busy road there is also the potential for noise but we didn’t find this to be a problem, in fact, we enjoyed two quiet nights’ sleep.
Internet is good.
