These mooring despite being quiet and peaceful despite the proximity to town and all its amenities. Sadly we missed this town completely in our rush to get to the Llangollen Canal although we heard favourable reports from other narrowboat cruisers. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the town although there doesn’t seem to be a launderette within 20 minutes taxi ride of the moorings.
Just north of Newcatle Bridge No 62 are a service station on the towpath side and a boat yard/chandler selling diesel, coal, gas and other continuous cruiser requirements.
