This is a mooring we have used several times, it has in the past been peaceful and quiet as it was this time.
One problem on this visit was someone trying to break into or steal from the boat at 3;00 am. The boat on the next mooring reported a similar disturbance. When we were woken we were trying to work out what had disturbed us when the PIR lights in our bathroom came on, as they sometimes do when the boat moves, I looked out the window to see a male legging it down the towpath, not slowing down before he was out of sight. Surprisingly it didn’t take long to get back to sleep. We discussed the incident with the other moorers and all agreed it was an isolated incident and none moved on that day.
The following night passed without incident.
We have decided that this incident was indeed a one-off and we would not hesitate to return here.

The mooring was on Armco although most moorings hereabout require pins.
