The winter started with a journey towards Italy middled with a winter in Portugal and ended with a disaster.
Another winter in Portugal. It was supposed to be warm and dry but like much of Europe during the 2017 / 18 winter it was cold and wet.
Summer and we went to Poland via Holland and Germany.

This mooring was actually on the Grand Union but marks the start of our trip virtually the entire length of the Oxford Canal, missing just the southern most 8 miles or so.
Almost opposite the Boathouse Inn this mooring was convenient for all that Braunston has to offer but is on a busy section of towpath. It is very convenient for the Boathouse Inn although our experience there would not encourage us to return.
The moorings are on rings set into the concrete canal edge.
