This was a mooring that was on a one boat lenght of armco close to the village of Wolseley Bridge. The mooring seemed to be well known and popular. A number of boats slowwed down and remarked how they were hoping to moore there for a few days.
This mooring was on a very remote part of the canal. There was a farm house a few hundred yards away alongside which was a few long term moorings and in a field alongside the canal a couple of narrowwboats were being refurbished.
It would have been a fabulous mooring BUT, and it’s a big BUT, the farm house occupants, with their very isolatedted location, loved their music very, very LOUD. OK they had a great sound system and as they went to bed before us it was not a huge problem, but would we moor there again? Nah! Not in a million years.
Moored on Armco
