Stoke Bruerne is one of the best-known places on the canal system, it is always crowded with boaters and gongoozlers enjoying the museum pubs restaurants etc.
Being such a popular hub makes the moorings very popular and getting one in the season is not easy so if travelling north it can be better to look for a mooring in one of the larger pounds in the lock flight, and if travelling south start looking as soon as you exit the Blisworth tunnel.
The moorings between the top lock and the tunnel are all 2 days with the opportunity to extend your stay to up to 7 days at a cost of £25 per extra day. £125 to moor for a week!! Like anyone is going to pay that.
