These were the best moorings of the Lee/Stort Navigation Experience. They were on a quality towpath with rings to moor to. Just a few yards away was a popular pub that served food at reasonable prices and beer that although expensive outside the London area did not require a mortgage.
Despite the proximity of the town, the mooring was quiet and peaceful.
