We stopped at The Pig Place to visit the farm shop. Having done our shopping we simply could not be bothered to get underway again so paid to stay on the private moorings attached to The Pig Place. For pub lovers it would be a great place to moor. The bar is open till 11.00pm and there are comfy chairs dotted around braziers where you can buy logs to have a cheery warming blaze while you enjoy your booze.
A quiet and peaceful mooring but at £12.00 a night without any facilities it is rather expensive.
The mooring was on a wooden staging with timber bollards.
