The mooring was a short way before Fenny Compton where we had noted from t’interweb that the local pub boasted a quality restaurant and a large campsite as well as a shop and laundrette that was open to the public. After mooring and having a cup of tea we wandered down to the pub. The campsite was open and quite busy but the shop and laundrette was closed - permanently, as was on that particular night only, the pub and restaurant. The chalk board sign said that it was “. . . closed due to electrical maintenance work . . . “
Oh well! We did take advantage of the water point.
