3 - On Moss Hall Aqueduct, just north of Audlem

This was a very pleasant mooring around 0.75 miles from the centre of the village. There is a tarmac towpath that is well used by locals to exercise themselves and their dogs, all were pleasant and chatty and most picked up armer their dog.

Being so far from the nearest road made the mooring peaceful and quiet, particularly during the hours of darkness.

There are plenty of good moorings closer to town but we stopped here because we thought with the lock stoppage close by they would be crowded. We were pretty much on our own the whole of our stay - magic!!

It sounds quite idyllic, and it was but mooring was on pins and at this time of year with the ground so soft we had to keep a very close eye on those pins as they constantly came loose. Not a huge problem just an annoyance.

This is a mooring we would certainly return to if we come this way again.
