This was one of our favourite moorings on this canal, it was miles from any towns or villages just a few dwellings and a farm or two. The view to the west was fabulous. Last time we were here I was chatting to a dog walker who said he rented one of the farms (more of a small holding) we could see in the distance and although he did not officially sell meat he had a freezer full of meat from his own pigs should we need anything.
The mooring was on Armco.
