This would have been a very pleasant mooring but for the C&RT policy of allowing the canal edge greenery to grow unchecked which makes the whole process of coming alongside a very unpleasant experience. We keep threatening to buy a pair of garden shears which would allow us to clear the stinging nettles from where we get on and off the boat and where the mooring pins go, but are still waiting until we get a round tuit.
Once settled on it, the mooring proved to be quiet and peaceful. Close to Cassiobury Park, an attraction in its own right, the park also gives access to Watford.
