This was not a planned mooring spot. We had tried to moor a couple of miles before but low water would not allow the boat to get near enough to the bank to moor. We thought we may have to continue for some miles which, as it was one of the hottest days of the summer, we were not looking forward to. Just south of Wistow Road Farm Bridge No 79 we found an unoccupied length of Armco.
The mooring was quiet and peaceful with few passersby on the towpath.
